Armenia exports fruits both to the EAEU countries and to Europe, Iraq, the USA, as well as to neighboring Georgia.Of course, the biggest market is Russia.

Vegetable products, in particular fruits, occupy the fifth place among exported goods. Although the export volumes may fluctuate from year to year depending on the yield, crisis situations, but the demand of the foreign market for Armenian fruits is still stable.

When exporting fruits from Armenia, several types of fruits are mainly exported. Of these, large volumes are provided by apricots and grapes. They are inferior in volume, but plums, peaches, and cherries are in demand.

The active export season depends on the ripening periods of these fruits. Fruits of the highest quality, having the best presentation, are exported from Armenia.

Fruit exports require certain conditions to be met. In order for the Armenian fruit to reach the foreign market in good marketable form, appropriate cooling conditions and a special ventilation system are required during transportation. Such conditions are necessary in order for the fruit to remain fresh and in the future, it will be possible to sell it at favorable prices.

When exporting fruits to the EAEU market, the following documents must be submitted․


1. export invoice, contract,
the names, addresses, TIN of the exporter and recipient of the goods, description, quantity, weight, value of the goods are indicated in the export invoice,
2. Transport documents-CMR
3. document on the purchase of goods
4. Safety certificate or phytosanitary certificate issued by the food safety inspection authority
5. on any of the commodity documents of the batch, it is necessary to indicate "Goods of the European Economic Union" approved by the declarant,
6. The party receiving the goods must be a resident legal entity or an individual entrepreneur of the EAEU member state.


Vegetable products exported to the EAEU member states must be in packaging material-boxes, which must contain the following information: country of origin, product name, manufacturer's name and address, exporter's name and address, recipient's name and address, shelf life, temperature.
